LANSING, MI – The Lansing Lugnuts kept their slim hopes alive with a 3-1 triumph over the West Michigan Whitecaps yesterday.
The Whitecaps' magic number for clinching a playoff berth remained 2, while the Lugnuts pulled within 4 games of West Michigan in the Eastern Division with five games to play.
The Lugnuts resume their series with the Whitecaps at Cooley Law School Stadium tonight.
