Former AG Cox to join Dykema's Detroit law office

DETROIT –
Former Attorney General Mike Cox is joining a prominent law firm, focusing on health care fraud compliance and white-collar defense issues.

Dykema announced the move Tuesday. Cox will work in the firm's litigation department in Detroit.

A former Marine, Cox worked for the Oakland and Wayne County prosecutors offices and served as Michigan attorney general for eight years, the most allowed under term limits.

He was one of five Republicans running in last year's governor's race, coming in third in the primary election.

The 49-year-old lives with his family in Livonia.
