Anuzis considers running against Stabenow in 2012

By AP

LANSING, MI –
Former Michigan Republican Party chairman Saul Anuzis says he is considering a possible run against Democratic U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow in 2012.

Anuzis said Monday it could take weeks or a couple of months to reach a decision on whether to run.

Anuzis earlier this month lost a bid to become chairman of the national Republican Party to Reince Priebus.

Stabenow won election to a second Senate term in 2006. She is chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry.
