Canadian Politicians In Hot Water For Their Tweets

RENEE MONTAGNE, HOST:

(Speaking French) Aiming to stay on the good side of Canada after politicians there got in hot water for their tweets. The country's official languages are English and French. An investigation by the commissioner of Official Languages found that some Cabinet members broke the law by not tweeting enough in French. The worst offender - a former minister of foreign affairs whose tweets at one point were 90 percent English. (Speaking French) - the horror of it all. It's MORNING EDITION.
