DeWitt Community Concert Band 40th Anniversary Concert

DeWitt Community Concert Band 40th Anniversary Concert
Guess who’s turning 40? The DeWitt Community Concert Band will celebrate this musical milestone with a special “Celebrating 40 Years of Musical Memories” concert at the DeWitt Middle School auditorium on Wednesday, May 14. DCCB will be joined onstage by the Twilight Memories Big Band for the concert which begins at 7:00pm. Admission is FREE and door prizes will be provided.
DCCB was established in 1985 with an original membership of 13 musicians. Over a span of 25 years, under the leadership of its founder, Pat Keilen Jackson, the band thrived and attracted much of its current membership. The band has been conducted by Nicole Leppala since 2017, after two years as associate director and 23 years as a French Horn player.
DCCB has performed at numerous local events including the DeWitt Ox Roast, Pumpkin Palooza, the St. John’s Mint Festival and seasonal concerts at many of the area’s retirement communities.
