The infamous Dr. I Ball is back at The Okemos Coffee Shop, and this year he brought his horrible horde of interdimensional travelers along with him.

Together they've built a 9 hole haunted putt putt course right inside the shop - a limited time art installation that you can play! It runs October 4th through November 8th, with a few extra special event nights mixed in.

Come putt putt, drink coffee, and get spooky!

Advance tickets are $12 a person, or 4 for $40. At the door tickets are $15 per person or 4 for $45.

This workshop is a 6-week community diabetes education program to help individuals learn the tools and techniques needed for day-to-day management.

All Ages with Adult Supervision
Meet at the Library parking lot and head out looking for spooky lights, funny or scary pumpkins, witches, ghosts and more! The walk will last 30 minutes-- then we'll return for cider, donuts, and a Halloween story for kids. Dress for the weather and bring a flashlight.

All the pageantry and vibrant energy of a harvest festival in rural Korea comes together in the flying footwork, brilliantly colored dress, and joyful percussion of pungmul, breathtakingly presented by the master artists of the Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago.

This event will take place at the Light Fine Arts Building on the campus of Kalamazoo College.

Founded in 2013 as a drumming program for youth, Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago hosts a slate of projects including instruction in a variety of percussion, wind, and string instruments; artist residencies; performances; workshops; and lectures to more than 50,000 people annually in Chicago and beyond.

Join us for an after-hours Masquerade Ball as we fundraise for the Friends of the Library! Dress up in your most glamourous masquerade-inspired outfits, then mix and mingle with other adults while enjoying our Halloween decorated atmosphere, music, light snacks, and alcohol-free beverages. Masquerade Ball masks are encouraged! Donations for the Friends are requested for this event, but are not required to participate.

Zhou Tian’s Threads opens the evening with music that feels intricate and alive, constantly shifting and evolving. Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto follows, bold and unmistakable from its first moments, with Ying Li bringing both power and nuance to the solo line. Dvořák’s Seventh Symphony closes the night with a darker, more urgent energy. Under Yue Bao’s direction, the throughline is clear: music that carries weight and keeps moving forward.
