Families can gain free admission to the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing Saturday as part of an Ingham County Health Department COVID-19 vaccination drive.

The drive is called Vax Your Pack. If any family member gets vaccinated against COVID-19, the entire party will receive a zoo pass that can be used on Saturday or at a later date.

Ingham County Health Officer Linda Vail says the zoo is a great location for a vaccination drive. “It’s in a great place in terms of social vulnerability index in those neighborhoods," Vail explains. "It’s on the (Lansing River) Trail. It’s on a bus route.”

Vax Your Pack runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Potter Park Zoo.
