Detroit podcast explores death and afterlife through storytelling road trip

A group of MSU alumni spent a month this summer traveling the country in search of stories about death, religion, and the supernatural. Then, they turned those stories into the first season of "The Looncast." We talk with two of the creators of the new Detroit podcast about what they learned along the way.

The two things you can be sure of in life, said Benjamin Franklin, are death and taxes. But while most of us are happy to gripe about the IRS come tax season, death is still often a taboo subject of conversation. A new podcast created by a group of Michigan State alums is doing its part to change that.

"The Looncast" is exploring our beliefs surrounding death and the afterlife through storytelling.

Current State speaks with two of the co-producers of "The Looncast," Phillip Russell and Ben Thorp.
