Dr. David Wartinger's research found the best results came from riding in the last car on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride at Walt Disney World in Orlando.

What do roller coasters have to do with kidney stones? If you haven’t seen the recent news articles talking about the preliminary findings of MSU professor emeritus David Wartinger, then you might not know, but Dr. Wartinger joins us to explain his discovery.

No one who has ever experienced passing a kidney stone has anything pleasant to say about it, but MSU professor emeritus David Wartinger has done some preliminary research that could not only make dealing with kidney stones easier, it could even add some fun to the equation. Dr. Wartinger, a urological surgeon, found that riding a roller coaster can greatly increase the chance of passing a kidney stone, and he even set out to test the theory himself.

Current State talks with Dr. Wartinger about his findings.
