For 20 years, MSU domestic violence shelter has offered a 'Safe Place'

The recent spate of violent episodes connected to well-known sports figures has brought the subject of domestic abuse back into the spotlight. It’s a problem that’s never far from home, though, and for every high-profile case, there are countless incidents among our own friends, relatives and colleagues. As much as media attention is focused on what can be done to prevent abuse, there is and will be a need for places where the victims can go to be safe and try to break the cycle.
