Medical marijuana and edibles are a common topic of debate in the medical community

One of the biggest developments in the business of Marijuana is the explosion of the use of Marijuana edibles. But with that boom in sales has come criticism that a lack of regulation has created a dangerous product.

WKAR’s Karel Vega spoke with Dr. Josh Meisel, associate professor in the department of sociology at Humboldt State University in California. Dr. Meisel is also the Co-Director of the Humboldt Institute for Interdisciplinary Marijuana Research, the first academic institute specifically devoted to cannabis research.

As managing editor, Karel Vega supervises news reporters and hosts of news programming, and is responsible for the planning and editing of WKAR's news content.
