Lindsey Wren and Lauren Brown of East Lansing were married this morning outside the Ingham County courthouse in Mason.

Current State talks with Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum, who began performing same sex marriage ceremonies shortly after today's U.S. Supreme Court decision was announced.

It didn’t take long for several mid-Michigan couples to get to the courthouse following Friday’s Supreme Court ruling that overturned state bans on same sex marriage.

Current State’s Mark Bashore visited the county courthouse in Mason during the noon hour. In between ceremonies, he spoke with county clerk Barb Byrum, an ardent supporter of the ruling.
