Michigan Archaeology Day takes place tomorrow in Lansing. We learn more from state archaeologist Dean Anderson.

This place we call Michigan saw its first human inhabitants after the massive glaciers that marched across the landscape carved out the Great Lakes. Our state has a rich archaeological history, and state officials want to share it with modern-day residents.

Tomorrow, the Michigan Historical Center in Lansing hosts an annual tradition. Michigan Archaeology Day brings field researchers and the public together to learn the stories of what lies beneath our feet.
