Your Vote, Your Voice: Empowering Community
The Alpha Chi Boulé Foundation, Lansing/East Lansing (MI) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, the Lansing NAACP, and AARP Michigan are proud to present a Voter Education Event on October 15, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM ET at Union Missionary Baptist Church, located at 500 S. Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Lansing, MI. The event will provide essential information on the voting process, as well as details on Project 2025, a pivotal initiative with potential impacts on the Mid-Michigan community.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Meaghan Wilson, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Michigan State University, will lead a discussion on the importance of voting and how individuals can shape the future through civic engagement. Dr. Wilson will also delve into Project 2025, offering insight into its potential policies and their implications for local communities.
Special Guest: A representative from the Michigan Secretary of State's Office will provide updates on voter registration, voter rights, and recent election procedures. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive critical information about voting, voting rights, important deadlines, and seek guidance on any voting-related questions.
