United States women's soccer player Abby Wambach retires, Lansing Community College ranked as the number one team in Division II college hoops, Eric Trojanowicz of the Lansing Catholic boy's basketball team, and the Michigan State "Sports Illustrated" cover mess-up.

Todays show was filled with fun as Al paid tribute to U.S. women’s national soccer player Abby Wambach deciding to retire from the game at 35 years old. Al then address the latest rankings in DII men’s college hoops, as the Lansing Community College Stars are ranked as the number one team in the nation! It’s the first time that both the LCC and MSU men’s basketball programs have been ranked number one in the same year.

The guest for today’s “Current Sports” is Eric Trojanowicz, head boy’s basketball coach for the Lansing Catholic Cougars. Trojanowicz address his team being an impressive 3-0 to start the year, and gives a team preview about what he expects from the Cougars this season.

The show is closed out with Al’s thoughts on “Sports Illustrated” misspelling Mark Dantonio’s name on the College Football Playoff Preview issue, as well as “Throwback Thursday."
