WKAR Pop-Up Storyteller Tom Sampson

Last week, WKAR hosted a Moonfest Pop-Up Stories event at MSU’s Abrams Planetarium, where people gathered to discuss Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the moon.

One of our storytellers was Tom Sampson, who was serving in Vietnam on July 20th, 1969.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
